Why HoppHome exists
Looking for a home in Switzerland means working through half a dozen portals, each with its own account, its own paywall and its own idea of what publishing a listing should cost. HoppHome brings together what is already publicly advertised and puts it in one place — free to browse, without registration, with no premium tier.
Owners publish free of charge: no listing fee, no commission on a sale or a rental. A short review before publication keeps the platform trustworthy, and we earn from clearly labelled advertising instead of from the people using the site. HoppHome is run by the team behind HoppJob.
01 — How it works
Built on APIs, not on scraping
Every property on HoppHome arrives through an interface its owner offers us — a public API, a partner feed, or a form filled in by the owner. This is the complete list.
Flatfox public API
APIOur live discovery pool of apartments and houses currently advertised across Switzerland. We show the listing with a “via Flatfox” badge, and every click opens the original advert on flatfox.ch — we do not keep the lead for ourselves.
Interface
GET flatfox.ch/api/v1/public-listing/ · at most six cached requests per 15-minute window · cover images load from flatfox.ch and are never rehosted
Agency feeds (IDX · SwissRETS · OpenImmo)
APIPartner agencies push their portfolio to us in the standard formats the Swiss market already uses, so connecting costs them a URL and a token rather than an integration project.

Listings from owners
Properties published directly through the form on HoppHome. These are the only listings we host ourselves — each one reviewed before it goes live.

APISign-in for owners who want to manage a listing. We never see or store a password, and searching or saving favorites needs no account at all.

Aggregating fairly

Attribution, always
Every aggregated listing names its source and links to the original advert. Listings published on HoppHome rank ahead of aggregated ones, and we never present someone else's listing as our own.

Light on other people's servers
A handful of cached requests per revalidation window, no scraping and nothing fetched from behind a login. Photos load from the source, so we neither rehost nor re-encode partner images.

Removable on request
A source that wants out is removed — one email is enough. The same goes for any individual listing.

No fees, no accounts, no dark patterns
Free to search
Every listing, every filter and every photo is available without an account. Favorites stay on your own device.
Free to publish
No listing fee and no commission — interested people reach you directly, with nobody in between.
Honest advertising
Ads sit in their own rail and carry a label. Search results are ranked by relevance and freshness, never by who paid.
